Alamo Chapter members,
Each year the chapter supports local charities with various projects. Please support us by participating or donating. We post current information of projects on our website and social media pages. Below are some examples of annual projects that we have supported.
Want to be more involved with the Good Works committee? Please let us know. We could always use some good minds and hands.
Yoplait Lids
We also support the Susan G. Komen Foundation in their fight against breast cancer by saving specially marked pink lids from Yoplait yogurts. For each lid that the chapter collects, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to the Komen Foundation. This is a small, but fun effort for this worthy cause!
Food Bank
Each year we support the San Antonio Food Bank. We collect non-perishable goods at monthly meetings and volunteers work at the food bank packing goods for distribution.
The Annual Holiday Charity Project
In partnership with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, we adopt a family each year for the Annual Holiday Charity Project. We help a family in need with generous donations of clothing, household items, toys, and monetary gifts.
